The context of this study was an academic setting; however, these patterns transcend all aspects of an interpreters work from English to ASL. At the completion of this wwworkshop interpreters, educators, and mentors will have a tool by which they can analyze the work of their own work or the work of a colleague in terms of successful strategies (proficient), adequate interpretations (emerging), and those that are less effective (diagnostic).
