K-12 Interpreting: A Teacher’s Perspective
Product Information
- 6 hours/0.6 CEUs.
This workshop provides a unique insight into teaching processes, methods and practices. Many teachers in public schools who find themselves with a Deaf student placed in their class with an interpreter have little information about how to best provide the appropriate educational services.
Additionally, they might experience a range of emotions, not the least being intimidation from having another adult present in the classroom. This workshop will help teachers and interpreters understand each other's role and responsibilities. Likewise, it will help teachers and parents understand the interpreter's purpose for being in the classroom.
